This week has been set aside to honor and recognize National Athletic Directors, and while a week may seem like plenty of time to say “thank you,” we aren’t sure that a single week could ever be enough when it comes to our very own Athletic Director, EH Hirschvogel.
EH has been an important part of the Jamestown community for more than 20 years. During that time, he has served not only as our Athletic Director but has also stepped up to coach just about every sport Jamestown has to offer. He is also the voice you often hear on JSPN, Jamestown's own sports broadcasting play by play for people unable to make it to sporting events.
Countless hours go into what EH does behind the scenes. From paperwork and scheduling to constant communication and making sure we remain compliant with MSHSAA rules and regulations, there is an incredible amount of work that most people never see. He works tirelessly to strengthen and grow our athletic programs while making sure our students have opportunities to participate, compete, and create memories that will last a lifetime. His dedication to our students, our athletes, and our school has made an impact that reaches far beyond the athletic field.
His commitment has also meant countless hours away from his family. We are incredibly grateful to his amazing and selfless wife, Stacey, and their two wonderful children, Henry and Rylee, for sharing so much of EH’s time with the Jamestown community.
Jamestown has been extremely fortunate to have EH in our corner for more than two decades. His leadership, dedication, and willingness to always step up have made him an invaluable part of our school and community.
One week to recognize more than 20 years of service hardly seems like enough. But from the school, our students, our athletes, and the entire Jamestown community — please know that you are truly appreciated.
As we like to say, “Once an Eagle, always an Eagle.”
Thank you, Coach Hirschvogel, for your countless hours, your dedication to our students, and for being such a huge part of our Eagle Family. We are grateful for everything you do!
It's GAME DAY!!! Our Lady Eagles and Eagles will both play at home tonight vs conference opponent the Tuscumbia Lions. We will be celebrating softball senior night prior to the 5:00 PM first pitch. Baseball will follow the softball game.
Congratulations to Rylee on an amazing 4 years of softball!
